About the Role
We have an opportunity for a registered nurse to join our District Nursing Southland team. If you have ever wondered about District Nursing, now is the opportunity you have been waiting for.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing care to a diverse range of district nursing patients in the Invercargill area and surrounding community and also the clinic based service.
The District Nursing role also offers an opportunity for you to expand your scope of practice and in doing so we look to build capacity within the service, to provide relief cover in the PRIME (Rural Nurse Specialist), Wound, Continence, Ostomy and other specialty areas this service provides.

About you
Our ideal candidate will:

Be registered in accordance with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a Registered Nurse and possess a current Practising Certificate.
Have had varied post-basic nursing experience of 3-5 years including acute clinical, surgical and medical nursing.
The ability to communicate effectively, be self-motivated and tactful with a caring attitude, be able to cope in stressful situations and work as part of a team.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the Registered Nurse pay scale, between Step 3 $86,159 and Step 7 $106,739 p.a dependent on relevant experience.
