Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS) Registered Nurses Have it all with a great career and lifestyle.... at MidCentral! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a RN to join the RCTS Clinical Trials Unit, at Palmerston North Hospital covering the disciplines of Radiation Oncology, Clinical Haematology and Medical Oncology.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the cancer treatment development process through Clinical Trials. The role will involve patient recruitment to Clinical Trials, staff and patient education, patient assessments, investigations, clinical nursing, administering investigational drugs (including chemotherapy) or treatment modalities, data collection and reporting as well and ongoing study coordination of the Clinical Trials. The successful applicant will work closely with patients and the multidisciplinary team and external sponsors.
We are looking for a dynamic and resilient nurse with proven skills in the following areas:
Broad nursing experience (minimum of 2 years)Excellent interpersonal and working relationshipsAttention to detail and well organisedPrevious clinical trial study coordination experience and/or cancer nursing would be an advantage. Education and training will be provided to the successful applicant.

This is a 0.8 – 1.0 FTE position working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.
