About the role

We seek an experienced Registered Nurse with transferable and adaptable peri operative skills to join our team of Clinical Leaders at the Canterbury Charity Hospital in Christchurch, Canterbury. This role involves assisting and coordinating  teams of nurses and health professionals (employed and volunteers)  to provide high-quality healthcare to our patients. Working days and hours are negotiable 0.6 FTE to 1.0 FTE
What you'll be doing Overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day perioperative activities from referral to dischargeProviding hands on clinical leadership, mentoring and support to the nurses, other health professionals and volunteersEnsuring adherence to professional standards, policies and proceduresCollaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient careMonitoring and evaluating clinical and organizational outcomes to drive continuous improvementParticipating in the development and implementation of the Trusts initiativesMaintaining accurate patient records and documentationWhat we're looking for Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with no conditionsMinimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in a clinical perioperative nursing roleDemonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare settingStrong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing and perioperative  best practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal and team leadership abilitiesAbility to work well in a small team and an understanding of volunteerismProficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare IT systemsA commitment to providing exceptional patient-centred careWhat we offer
