Registered Nurse - Cardiothoracic Surgical UnitMercy Hospital, Epsom | Flexible FTE | 8 & 12 hour shifts | Great NEW pay rates | Free parking St Anne's is our busy and super interesting adult cardiothoracic surgical floor at Mercy Hospital in Epsom and consists of 3 clinical areas: a 13 bed Cardiothoracic Surgical Ward (CTU), a 6 bed ICU, and a 13 bed Cardiac Investigations Unit (CIU). This vacancy is for Cardiothoracic Surgical ward (CTU). In our Cardiothoracic Surgical ward (CTU) you'll care for pre and postoperative patients undergoing all types of cardiac and/or thoracic surgeries. You'll work alongside Auckland's top cardiac surgeons and a great team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. This is a busy and stimulating environment where you'll be joining a positive supportive team, led by our awesome Charge Nurse Manager, where open communication and respect is highly valued.
About you - you'll need: To be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current APCAt least 2 years current experience in a cardiothoracic surgical ward environment (not ICU)Outstanding assessment and time management skills, confidence in your practice and the ability to think on your feetTo be available to work rostered shifts across a 24/7 serviceExceptional interpersonal skills and be a great teamworkerAbout us: We're part of the Healthcare Holdings Group of companies and we're are New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 22 theatres (and growing) across three sites.
