Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity CVICU leads New Zealand in providing specialised nursing care based on clinical skills, research, education and innovation. We are a 26 bed adult ICU which is the National Centre for Heart and Lung transplant, Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) implantations and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). We provide unique learning opportunities that you can't get anywhere else in New Zealand. This is a 24 hour service based at Auckland City Hospital, covering primarily elective and acute admissions and we provide our patients with intensive care for a range of cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures. In addition, we provide excellent professional development opportunities and on-going education along with the opportunity to apply for subsidised relevant postgraduate education. Being part of our team, we offer 12 hr shift rosters that give you better work life balance.
