About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cardiology Registered Nurse to join our team on a 0.8FTE Fixed Term Contract until January 2026.

About the Service We provide acute and planned cardiac care to the Canterbury and West Coast catchment. Our unit currently has two Catheter labs and planning is underway to expand the service which will include a third lab, resulting in changes in our models of care.
About you We are looking for a collaborative nurse with strong interpersonal skills, innovative thinking, the ability to problem solve and respond in this fast-paced environment.
At least one year's experience in CardiologyExcellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary teamExceptional clinical assessment skills and knowledgeECG and Rhythm interpretation desirableCompetent in IV CannulationStrong interpersonal skills and building relationshipsStrategic thinking and promoting interdisciplinary collaborationCompetent user of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant softwareRegistered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
