We are looking for individuals who are passionate about, and committed to, mental health nursing. A level of physical fitness is required for this position and please do contact the unit for further advice on requirements. We are looking for high standards of care for our clients and hope to modernise our service through the care we provide.
About the Team/Service/Location Our Intensive Mental Health Service provides assessment, care and treatment to people experiencing acute mental illness across an acute inpatient facility and a step-down facility. We have a dynamic forward-thinking team who rise to the challenges in their day-to-day work.
There is no doubt that our Nurses in Mental Health are charting the course for the rest of the country. About you To be considered for this role you will need:
Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered NurseDemonstrated time management skillsDemonstrated ability to work within a teamSignificant experience in mental health with a demonstrated high level of clinical expertise in comprehensive assessment in Mental Health, Risk Assessment and Physical HealthCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
