Within the Core Midwifery environment no two days will be the same, and you'll be involved with a range of midwifery practice.
You will be supporting Lead Maternity Carers/Caseloading Midwives accessing our rural maternity unit who provide inpatient labour and birth.
You will assist with antenatal assessments, labour/birth cares and caring for birthing people and their whanau in a postnatal environment.
We have a women and whanau centered approach to our care and you will be making a real difference to the patient experience.
Additional opportunities can exist for the right candidate to support our virtual antenatal telehealth clinics and Caseloading Midwifery services.
This core midwife role would suit a Registered Midwife who is team-focused and who enjoys getting involved in a variety of tasks to ensure the very best care is provided at all times.

Utu whanui | Salary range This role falls under the terms and conditions of the MERAS Midwives Collective Agreement (1 February 2024 – 30 April 2025), Registered (Core) Midwives Salary Scale, between Step 2 and Step 7, $82,642 to $108,008 per annum, pro rata.
