This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.The Bay of Plenty Addiction Service is looking for a Registered Health Professional to join our Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) Team as a case manager. In this role you will join a small but experienced and supportive team to assess, plan and deliver addiction treatment to clients of our opioid dependent Whaiora.Based at Tauranga hospital, we are a regional service that is part of the Adult Community Mental Health Services covering the whole of the Bay of Plenty. We offer our services in a variety of settings, including at satellite services and in the client's home. The service operates Monday to Friday during office hours.Our Alcohol and Other Drug service is a multidisciplinary team of Registered Health Professionals, Psychology, Psychiatry, Administrative Support and Leadership staff. We have a learning and supportive culture within the team, which leads to opportunities for growth and empowerment for individual staff members and the service.This is a permanent full-time position.Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in OST and a good understanding of:The principles of harm reductionOST treatment optionsand the risks and benefits of this unique treatment approach.An ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team is essential for this role, as are excellent assessment, risk management and interpersonal/communication skills. As this is a community-based position you will need to hold a full driving licence.This position is open to Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists and DAPAANZ-registered clinicians.
