About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Health Professional within our friendly and dynamic Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions Team in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
In this role you will carry a case load of clientele, supporting them through their recovery journey as part of, and with support from the wider team.
The aim of this team is to work with referrers, health partners, families/whanau and the community to provide effective triage, assessment and management of Tangata Whaiora who are requiring our services.
We work alongside Tangata Whaiora with the core values of patient centred care, and we achieve this with a focus on maximising health while promoting independence in the community.
The focus is to deliver high quality care to the growing population in the Bay of Plenty.
In this role you will be working both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
The successful applicant will be joining a multi-disciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.

This is a 0.8FTE role, working 64 hours per fortnight for 12 months to cover parental leave.
The role is based at Whakatane Adult Community Mental Health and Addictions (ACMHAS).
To be successful in this role you will need A positive, friendly and professional attitudeTo be a Registered Health Professional (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse) with current APCA minimum of two years post graduate mental health experience, ideally community basedCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthWorking for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
