Are you interested in working with adults experiencing psychological distress – making a difference in their lives and future wellbeing? We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who has a passion for mental health nursing and supporting clients through their recovery process.
Key aspects of the role are:
Completing mental state assessments
Therapeutic engagement to promote recovery
Supporting medication and physical health management
The Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit consists of 18 Registered Nurses, seven Health Care Assistants, one Occupational Therapy Assistant and one TPK Maori Mental Health Worker.
Working in the Inpatient Team, you will be part of our multidisciplinary team, committed to delivering high quality care to our consumer group and be part of continuous improvement.

The preferred candidate would be passionate and committed to providing Tangata Whai Ora focused care. The ability to work as an effective team member and demonstrate strong communication is essential to this position.
To be successful in this role you will be a Registered Nurse who has experience and skills working in a mental health setting.
Our successful candidate will:
Have a minimum of 1 years' experience of working with this client group
Be experienced in working in an acute mental health unit
Preferably have a post graduate qualification
Have excellent communication and clinical skills
Be available for shift work
