Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation TrustAn exciting opportunity has risen for Band 5 Registered Nurse to join Hamsterley Ward, an organic ward for older people.We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is able to work with the wider MDT, voluntary sector and third sector organisations.Wellbeing of colleagues and working collaboratively is essential as we see this as an important aspect to keeping our staff happy at work.The team aim is to work in partnership with patients, carers and others utilising the various services and teams we network with to work towards a level of recovery as deemed by the individual.This post is only open to those candidates who already have their NMC registration in place and have successfully completed the preceptorship programme.Main duties of the jobThis rewarding post will offer opportunities for continued professional development and training in a specialised field of mental health nursing. You will be required to work alongside our wide multidisciplinary team to deliver a high quality of care and intervention.The successful applicant will work with a caseload of patients offering 1:1 nursing sessions alongside collaborative intervention, medication administration and monitoring. Also working closely with occupational therapists, dieticians and psychologists to ensure patient recovery and directions are supported.You will be named nurse for patients, following their agreed goals and delivering the care plans. Networking with their carers/family to discuss and provide them with support and explore further resources if needed.Attending multidisciplinary meetings to support a patient's admission on the ward and work in partnership with allied health professionals to deliver care.Although this is an autonomous role the post holder will receive full support supervision and team training, as well as an appraisal to support professional development.About usWe are a very focused service on ensuring the patient care delivered is paramount.
