Little Parrots, a growing early learning centre in Mt Maunganui, is looking for dedicated registered kaiako to join our team as our roll expands.

At Little Parrots, our philosophy centres on child-led, play-based learning in an environment that is responsive to the needs of each tamaiti. We value whanau involvement, inclusivity, and cultural responsiveness, ensuring tamariki feel a strong sense of belonging. We are building a team of passionate kaiako who align with our values and support the holistic development of each child.
The role:
As a registered kaiako, you will foster positive relationships with tamariki, their whanau, and fellow kaiako. You will create a safe, engaging environment where learning occurs through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement child-centred learning experiences in line with Te Whariki
Build strong, positive relationships with tamariki and their whanau
Observe and document children's learning journeys
Collaborate with the teaching team to create an inclusive environment
Actively contribute to the centre's philosophy and values.

A fully qualified and registered kaiako
