About the Role We are looking for a Registered Health Clinician to join our supportiveMental Health and Addictions services multidisciplinary team based in Kaipara.
This is a Triage/Crisis/Duty role with a small case load.
You would be the first point of call for a Mental Health and Addictions service in Kaipara.
This role offers opportunities that include case management, assessment, monitoring, varied group work and liaison across the health sector.
About the Team Our team provide a full range of mental health and alcohol and drug services including assessment, group therapy, family/whanau and individual interventions.
We work with both the person and their family to achieve the best possible results.
About you A qualified health professional with a current registration such as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Counsellor or be eligible for DAPAANZ registrationExperience in acute and/or community mental health practiceExperience working in the alcohol and drug fieldand/or have a recognised qualification in alcohol and drug studiesSkilled in assessing and treating people experiencing co-existing disordersExcellent in written and verbal communication skillsA passion for working alongside people and their whanau with a diverse and flexible approachA willingness to undertake professional development and be a positive team memberA Duly Authorised Officer (DAO) or willing to become oneCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsWorking for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
