Regional Support Manager (RSM) - Southland Regional Support Manager (RSM) - SouthlandDepartment - Sector Support & PartnershipsFull timeThe opportunity:Are you passionate about sport? Do you enjoy building relationships and driving success? We're looking for a dynamic Regional Support Manager (RSM) to join our team and continue to drive the growth of the game in Southland!The Regional Support Manager will coordinate and oversee Golf New Zealand's strategic partnership agreement with Golf Southland ensuring both parties deliver on their obligations as detailed in the partnership agreement. The RSM will work with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the long-term viability of the partnership and that both parties meet their strategic and financial goals.Based in Invercargill.Specifically, you will:Provide advisory and support services to golf clubs, facilities, external stakeholders and Golf New Zealand partners;Ensure high quality planning, reporting and governance best practice including assisting with constitutional matters such as board meetings and AGMs;Responsible for the development and overall management of the district budget in conjunction with the local Board and Golf New Zealand;Build and maintain strong relationships with the district and the Golf New Zealand staff in the district to optimise daily operations;Support the Participation Coordinator with the planning and delivery of participation initiatives in the district;Provide resources, guidance and support to the district and golf clubs in their approach to relationships with local governments and the wider community;Contribute as a member of the team to achieve strategic organisational goals and to create a positive, productive team environment;Support the development of regional funding proposals and applications;Support the development and implementation of district, golf club and facility workforce education and development initiatives;Lead the coordination of all club communications across the region.What you will bring:Experience in planning and implementing projects, business plans and budgets.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Understanding of club operations and challenges faced by clubs of all sizes, and ability to connect with professionals and volunteers.Ideally at least five years' experience in sports administration / management or a bachelor's degree in business, or a related field.Established network within the sports or golf industry and related organisations.Ability to make informed decisions alongside internal and external stakeholders.Ability to use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.Flexible to navigate and adapt to the evolving landscape of the golf industry.Fosters a collaborative environment that encourages the sharing of ideas and best practice.Customer-centric approach to service delivery.Who we are:Golf New Zealand Korowha Aotearoa ( GOLF NZ ) is a not-for-profit incorporated society with charitable status established in 1910 as the governing body for golf in New Zealand responsible for leading, growing and supporting the game.
