Regional Project Engineer

Te Turanga /About the role: We have an outstanding opportunity for a Regional Project Engineer who is experienced in leading and delivering large capital projects on multi-faceted sites, where no two days will be the same, while leading a team of engineers across multiple disciplines - juggling multiple tasks in any one day and thriving under the fast-paced environment that is the FMCG sector.
Using sound engineering knowledge, experience and project management skills, this role will provide project management and engineering leadership to the Silver Fern Farms sites in Canterbury, helping us achieve our vision, where we are setting new standards for industry innovation, technology, and best practice.
This is a two-year fixed term position and will require regular travel to sites and will be based out of our Pareora site in Timaru.
Ou Pukenga /About You: As a key player, you will be involved in developing, implementing and project managing a team of competent Project Engineers as they come up with practical engineering solutions that enable Silver Fern Farms to deliver quality food products to the global market.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills: Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and/or 10+ years' experience in an applicable field ideally with proven leadership of teams on a one-on-one basis A demonstrated knowledge of project management for infrastructure and engineering projects.
Project management ability including initial assessment, detailed design, quotations, capex preparation, implementation, post commissioning support and closure Demonstrated technical understanding of equipment design and capability - able to accurately specify requirements and assess fitness for purpose when making selection decisions Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project - Planning, Scheduling & Reporting and Auto CAD - 2D Drawings, Schematics, PID's etc Strong analytical ability to solve challenges and create opportunities Tono Mai /To Apply: We assess applications as they are received so don't delay click on "Apply" below to submit your application today.
