We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment for all employees and adopt the philosophy that great performance comes from great people.About the RoleThe Regional Operations Manager (Southland) is responsible for ensuring the overall performance of the Southland courier resources & Depot Operations are in line with Aramex's set objectives.Key responsibilities include:Overall accountability for the Southland business unit, including Service standards, compliance, and financial performance.Ensure that the company complies with its operational obligations of the Regional Franchise Deed and Courier Franchise Deed.Work closely with the NZ Operations Director and Franchise Support Manager South to achieve overall profit and sales budget targets for the company by enhancing productivity and efficiency as measured by the cost per parcel matrix.Ensure the high performance of Courier Franchises, employees, and contractors to achieve the company's sales, service, profit, and compliance targets in the Southland region.Develop the businesses of the Courier Franchises through training, coaching, planning, sales, marketing, and mentoring.Ensure the timely sorting and dispatch of all freight (Short haul, Local, & National) to achieve Aramex delivery standards and Aramex Linehaul Ltd (ALL) timetables in the Southland region.To provide hands-on cover to the business when required.Develop and monitor security procedures to ensure loss claims are kept to a minimum and ensure Depot Operations complete the appropriate security measures daily.Be 100% compliant with the Aramex national standards where applicable to the operational performance in the Southland region.To be successful in this role:Excellent communicator, able to relate to a wide range of stakeholders – franchises, sub-contractors, customers, and employees.Shows initiative.Full driver's license.Competent analytical skills.Competent e-mail, Internet, and Microsoft Office skills.If you think this would be a great opportunity for you, please apply today by submitting your cover letter and CV.Due to the volume of applications for this role, we may only be able to respond to shortlisted candidates.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Regional Operations Manager?Which of the following forklift licences do you have?Do you have experience working with logistics, freight & delivery services?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?How many years of people management experience do you have?
