Your responsibilities will range from coordinating 3PL picking and delivering goods to generating sales leads and building strong relationships with customers.As a driver, you will ensure the safe and timely transportation of medical supplies, equipment, and temperature-sensitive items, following strict protocols to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all medical goods. This role demands a commitment to reliable delivery, exceptional customer service, and prioritizing safety at every step.YOU WILL:Lead and manage all operations within the Wellington region, taking full responsibility for the area's performance;Take ownership of the region by ensuring the timely collection and delivery of medical items;Coordinate and manage jobs for 3PL customers and oversee the movement of freight both nationally and internationally;Build and nurture relationships with existing customers, enhancing satisfaction and loyalty;Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities with current customers and generating new business;Develop and maintain new client relationships to expand the customer base;Manage the return process of loaned medical equipment, ensuring smooth operations;Provide accurate quotes and coordinate transport bookings efficiently for customers;Ensure high standards through meticulous inspection, picking, and packing of orders, maintaining quality and compliance;Address and escalate issues to NZ Customer Operations when necessary to ensure timely resolution and maintain service excellence.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOROur ideal candidate will have a real entrepreneurial mindset and will jump at the challenge of establishing and building our Wellington business.You're a self-starting entrepreneur at heart who'll bend over backwards for customersYou're a seasoned New Business, Account Management and/or Sales professionalYou're familiar with the Wellington region and therefore know the fastest route from hospital to hospital You're computer savvy and know your way around a computer/ phoneYou've got excellent customer service skills and treat each job with great careYou're available to work between the hours of 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday (adhoc weekend work).WHAT TOOLS ARE REQUIRED?Own a late model 2- 4.5 tonne white vehicle (or be prepared to purchase one)Vehicle must have tail liftAll insurances (Vehicle, Public Liability, Marine Cargo etc)A clean drivers license and criminal recordHave the legal right to work in New Zealand.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Competitive rates and the opportunity to increase earnings through after hours work and out of town drivesWe'll offer you at least 40 hours of work each weekYou'll be trained and supported by a well-established 3PL business with best in class IT systemsCompany phone, uniform and vehicle branding provided and… there's no fees to join usThe opportunity to join a team of pioneers growing Smartways in New Zealand and make a real difference to Kiwis' everyday lives.
