About the role
Lead and mentor a small, diverse group of lecturers to deliver our high-quality Initial Teacher Education programmes. You will undertake a range of activities to support our students and members including teaching at the Undergraduate, Graduate or Postgraduate level; undertaking evaluative assessment visits; coordinating events including noho marae, graduation, and professional development.
Provide pastoral care to locally based students
Develop and maintain relationships with local kaumatua, iwi and ECE/Primary stakeholders
Undertake research activities
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven professional leadership/management skills
A master's degree in education or higher teaching qualifications + experience teaching and/or mentoring adults at tertiary level
Teacher registration and a current practicing certificate essential
A current full driver's license and vehicle for work use
Early Childhood qualification and sector experience
