Your primary responsibilities will include business development to secure new projects and overseeing the delivery of these projects to ensure they meet their high standards of quality and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Business Strategy: Develop and manage a comprehensive business plan and budget for the region.Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the civil business, including customer relations, business development, and project execution.Relationship Management: Build and nurture strategic relationships with clients and partners.Portfolio Management: Develop customer and project targets, and create pursuit plans.Team Development: Lead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring they have the resources and training needed.Tender Management: Prepare, review, and approve tenders and commercial offerings, balancing risk and opportunity.Contract Oversight: Manage construction contracts, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure effective risk management.Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to quality, HSE, and environmental standards, and promote a safety-focused work culture.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving business processes and productivity.Representation: Promote the company's values and maintain a professional image at all times.About YouMinimum of 10 years in civil construction engineering, with a proven record of high-quality project delivery as a project manager, contracts manager, or similar role.Of this, at least 3 years of experience working in New Zealand.Managed a minimum of 3 projects valued over $10 million, including at least 1 project over $20 million.Proven experience managing a branch or division of an engineering or construction organization, including P&L responsibility.Experience in a business development role within the engineering or construction industries.Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.Tertiary qualification in business or management.Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand (Desirable).Benefits$170K - $200K base salary.Performance based bonus.Company vehicle.Opportunity to lead a new branch with significant growth potential.Supportive work environment with career advancement opportunities.Full-time role based in Hawkes Bay.How to Apply (NZ Residents Only)In the first instance, please click 'Apply Now' via this advert with a customised and updated CV to show your relevant skills/experience for this role.
