Regional Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the Palmerston North team to make a significant contribution to our future success.In this senior leadership role, you will lead the assigned maintenance projects and contracts in all aspects from the tendering process to completion, including team leadership, stakeholder relationships, project/contract/subcontractor resourcing, financial/commercial management and EHS Management.What you'll enjoy doingDevelop and lead the Regional Maintenance Division's strategy from opportunity identification to bidding and onto delivery, inclusive of Local Authority and NOC contracts.Lead the operational team and foster the team culture.Manage the delivery of maintenance works through internal and external subcontractors.Manage operational budgets, quality, HSE and timelines to meet contract requirements.Overall responsibility for operational OPMs and KRAs.Responsibility for the delivery of yearly programmes and contracted works.What you'll bringAt least 5-10 years experience in road maintenance and managing contracts.Understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements involved in a maintenance contract.Ability to lead and motivate people leaders.Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project and knowledge of CRM systems.Being adaptable, flexible and having the capacity to cope with multiple issues.Commitment to the highest standards of health and safety.High level communication and relationship management skills.Experience of financial processes with a commercial focus in budgeting, management of P&L and cost control.About UsHiggins is a leading roading and civil infrastructure company in New Zealand.
