About Teltrac and the role Teltrac is a leading nationwide Digital Infrastructure and Technology Solutions Provider that was established in 1991. The depth of capabilities and services offered by Teltrac is vast and bespoke for each client from audio visual and digital signage to security, access control and CCTV through to structured cabling and fibre systems, nurse call and building automation. Due to Teltrac's growth in the region, we're looking for a Regional Lead Technology Technician with a great attitude based in Blenheim to help build Teltrac's newest branch. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to help grow a new branch by building a great team and rapport with our clients. This role offers a opportunity to grow into a management position over time with training provided to both internally and externally. Reporting to the Nelson/Marlborough Regional Manager you'll be instrumental in delivering services for our clients with the good work we're known for. The successful applicant will be a good communicator and be able to form strong relationships with the operational team, staff, clients and stakeholders, be able to work autonomously and have a lead from the front attitude with the goal to grow the region to a position where managing the Blenheim/Marlborough Region may become a reality. You will be responsible for the lifecycle of our solutions we provide from project start to completion. The role will be 40 hours per week with additional overtime available at 1.5 times standard pay. Successful applicants will have the following attributes: Excellent project management skillsStrong Team LeadershipAbility to think outside the square.3 Years + Experience in Structured Cabling Installation.Security or Audio Visual Solutions preferred.3 Years + Leading Installation Teams and/or Leading Projects.Will be competent in working on Construction Projects Will be competent in both copper and fibre installations.Clean, current drivers licenceCurrent NZ resident or NZ work visa preferred. Tasks Include: examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installedlocating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipmentattaching wires and cables to appliancesadjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instrumentsinstalling cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV and computer transmissionjoining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplasticerecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennaeinstalling telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment Benefits include Opportunity to be part of high performing team.
