Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThe Regional Lead Mental Health and Addiction is responsible for providing strong leadership to the mental health and addiction sector in the Central Region, motivating and inspiring local and regional mental health and addiction clinical and operational leaders to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care, to meet performance targets and objectives, and to build a high performing mental health and addictions system that delivers improved outcomes for patients.This role is part of the Central Region Deputy Chief Executive Leadership team, formulating and supporting Health New Zealand's future direction and contributing to the performance of the Central Region in delivering safe and effective care.The position will work closely with the National Clinical Lead Mental Health and Addiction to ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of clinical and non-clinical services provided by the mental health and addiction workforce.About youAn experienced leader in Mental Health and Addiction, with at least 10 years experience working in the New Zealand public health systemCompetent with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthDemonstrated experience in leading improvement in service deliveryThe ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and networks across the regionWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
