FMNZ have a highly skilled team of professionals that live and breathe a hard-working culture with built in flexibility and autonomy.The Role:We require a Regional Harvest Manager to join our team to manage harvest operations in the Wairarapa region. The Regional Harvest Manager makes a significant contribution to the operational success of the FMNZ capacity. You will be sole charge in this role and need to be able to:Coordinate and manage harvest operations to provide the best possible result for forest owners.Work to ensure that harvest income is maximised for the forest owner.Monitor contractor performance and progress as well as oversee the development of harvest roading infrastructure in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner.Ensure compliance with FMNZ Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.Actively seek opportunities to grow FMNZ business and build trust with prospective clients.Liaise with a range of stakeholders including territorial authorities, neighbours, iwi, historic places trust, power companies, NZTA etc with regards to harvest plans and consents.About You:You are passionate about maximising the potential for the forest owner in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable manner.Goal driven and ability to work autonomously.A minimum of 5 years forest harvest experience, a tertiary qualification is preferred.You will have good technical knowledge and skills in forestry, statistics/data analysis, and knowledge of relevant legal requirements such as the Resource Management Act/NES-CF.A confident networker and communicator with an ability to build rapport and trust with forest owners.You must have a current drivers licence and intermediate computer skills.We want someone who has great management relationship skills to work with colleagues, contractors and other external stakeholders.On Offer:This role comes with a vehicle and a competitive remuneration package including medical and life insurance benefits.
