About the role

We are looking to secure a solution-focused Regional Feed Partner for our Timaru region. You would be based out of your home office when you are not out on the road.

As a driven, proactive and self-motivated sales and business development professional, you will join our growing GrainCorp Feeds business and be responsible for customer retention, partnering with our customers to add value and new client acquisition. This is a rewarding time to join our business as we are experiencing a strong period of growth and there are exciting innovations to support you and our customers to success. In addition, the role requires you to meet/exceed sales targets; create sales strategies to target customers; implement sales and marketing initiatives; forecast demand and provide regular market feedback.

About your experience

The successful individual will present with valuable experience within the Agricultural Sales environment with a proven track record in account management/sales and/or business development. Experience within the animal feeds/farming or nutrition industry would be highly regarded; however, we have an open mind as to what success might look like in this position. Regardless of your previous experience, you will pride yourself on your ability to build and develop new relationships and to manage your own time effectively.

Other key skills include:

Drive and ambition to continuously develop your skill set, capability, and experience
Proven experience in successful lead generation, cold calling, and customer acquisition
Exceptional levels of customer service
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Highly knowledgeable on your product offering and value proposition

* This role will require some travel and overnight stays away from home.
