About the opportunity | Te whai waahi As Regional Engineering Manager you will lead our regionally-based engineering team, acting as a key partner for operational teams (NZM & NZDC) to ensure strategic alignment of engineering activities & improvements.
Bridging the gap between centralised Engineering leadership and operational teams by building capability and integration within Fonterra systems, processes, and regulatory requirements across all of COO Operations.
Key accountabilities include: Oversee and collaborate with operational teams to enable effective delivery of local improvement plans while ensuring strategic and process alignment to engineering.
Including monitoring the effectiveness and tracking key performance measures related to asset management standards and systems.
Provide leadership to operational asset owners by offering strategic, engineering, risk and technical advice on maintenance, asset management, capital planning, risk management and compliance.
Act as a key liaison between global engineering, capital and external experts.
Ensure effective deployment of the asset category plans to enable differentiated decision making.
Responding to operational engineering needs of regional team in the first instance (triage), and drawing in necessarily additional support where required.
Ensure alignment with the asset footprint and regional integrated business plans.
Drive and contribute to community of practice and networks.
Develop and enhance the capabilities of regional and site engineering teams.
Translates and deploys key engineering standards and frameworks into the Operations environments across COO, ensuring the required capability to lead the change in the operational teams.
About you | Moe koe To be successful in this role, here are some of the critical skills and experience you will ideally bring: Engineering Degree or extensive operational maintenance/asset management experience.
Several years of experience in a large Engineering role with demonstrable experience in leadership of operational engineering / maintenance teams.
Strong people leadership experience.
Demonstrable influencing ability and customer focus.
Strong business insight and commercial acumen.
