We care about the wellbeing and success of our people and provide a supportive and inclusive working environment where people can thrive and be who they are.Senior Operational and People Leadership roleDrive exceptional performance in a customer-centric environmentWe have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional people leader to join us as the Regional Director across the Taranaki, King Country and Whanganui region.As the Regional Director, you will lead and be accountable for client service delivery, effective operational practice, high performance and achieving outcomes.You will be responsible for 10 service centres across 8 districts and will lead a trusted and proactive team connecting clients to employment, income and housing support services right for them.
You will have a strong focus on achieving equitable outcomes for marginalised population groups.We take pride in collaborating with Iwi, Maori, Pacific and minority communities, industry, and other government agencies to collectively build meaningful partnerships for better outcomes for clients, communities, business and employers.As the Regional Director, reporting to the Regional Commissioner, you will:Understand the needs of our communities and be driven to achieve the best outcomes for our people.Demonstrate a commitment to leading our teams in delivering equitable outcomes for Maori, Pacific, and people experiencing ill health and disability.Lead and drive performance across the region, including activating successful implementation of Ministry initiatives.Foster a culture of manaakitanga by creating a welcoming and positive environment for whanau and employees, ensuring we provide an exceptional service to our whanau.Champion sustainable employment outcomes, initiatives, and practices, while taking the time to celebrate successes (Whakanui).Provide guidance, support, and training to develop leadership capability within your teams.Foster whakawhanaungatanga by nurturing established relationships with social service agencies, employers, community groups, and industry/providers to deliver integrated services.Manage risk and poor performance effectively and as a priority.Strive for continuous improvement, always linking our teams back to the 'why' we do things (Hononga) and aiming for operational excellence.To excel in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:A commitment to Maori, Pacific, and other diverse communitiesA desire to support individuals experiencing ill health and disability in their journey towards employmentAn understanding of the Government's obligations to Maori as a treaty partnerStrategic thinking, planning, and analysis skills to drive informed decision-makingLeadership, management, and planning experience in integrated service delivery operationsExperience managing diverse people across multiple locationsStrong stakeholder management skills with diverse groupsExperience working collaboratively with community and industry groupsAn understanding of and ability to navigate the complexities of public sector issuesStrong focus and drive to achieve employment outcomes for our clients.We OfferA cohesive, passionate, and diverse leadership team.Competitive remuneration package with ongoing professional development opportunities.If you are self-driven and highly motivated to help New Zealanders to be safe, strong and independent, we want to hear from you.
