Regional Clinical Nurse Lead - Tamaki Health

We are looking for a Regional Clinical Nurse Lead to provide strategic leadership and support across our nursing teams in Auckland. You will work closely with our Chief Nurse Officer and management teams to lead the continuous development of nursing services and ensure we provide high-quality patient care.

About the Position:
This role is set to commence in January 2025. As the Regional Clinical Nurse Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and support for nursing teams across our clinics, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient care. Working alongside the Regional Manager, Charge Nurses, and clinic staff, you will drive strategic initiatives, mentor nurses, and enhance clinical service delivery.
Working Hours & Location:
40-hour workweek, including on-call duties over the weekend, not more than once per month.
Location at our Management Support Office in Ellerslie, with the flexibility to travel and commute to the clinics within your assigned cluster
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the strategic development of nursing services, aligning with primary healthcare trends
Provide clinical leadership and advice to senior management and nursing teams
Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering their development and performance
Oversee quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit processes
Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for nursing staff
Maintain oversight of funding streams and expenditures to ensure service efficiency
Someone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency and who is able to demonstrate an understanding of Maori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

You will need to have:

A current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Proven leadership experience in a clinical environment
A minimum of five years' nursing experience in New Zealand
Strong organisational and management skills
Knowledge of quality improvement processes and clinical teaching
Commitment to biculturalism and health equity
Awareness of ACC, PHO, and nursing professional development issues
Excellent written and communication skills
Familiarity with MedTech or similar systems is an advantage
NZ citizenship or permanent residency
