We are looking for a Regional Clinical Nurse Lead to provide strategic leadership and support across our nursing teams in Auckland. You will work closely with our Chief Nurse Officer and management teams to lead the continuous development of nursing services and ensure we provide high-quality patient care.

About the Position: This role is set to commence in January 2025.As the Regional Clinical Nurse Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and support for nursing teams across our clinics, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient care. Working alongside the clustermanager, charge nurses, and clinic staff, you will drive strategic initiatives, mentor nurses, and enhance clinical service delivery.
The position is 0.5 FTE, requiring on-call duties over the weekend, no more than once per month if needed.
The role is based at our Christchurch Clinics, with flexibility to travel and commute within your assigned cluster.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the strategic development of nursing services, aligning with primary healthcare trendsProvide clinical leadership and advice to senior management and nursing teamsSupport and mentor nursing staff, fostering their development and performanceOversee quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit processesManage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for nursing staffMaintain oversight of funding streams and expenditures to ensure service efficiencySomeone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency and who is able to demonstrate an understanding of Maori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.You will need to have: A current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)Proven leadership experience in a clinical environmentA minimum of five years' nursing experience in New ZealandStrong organisational and management skillsKnowledge of quality improvement processes and clinical teachingCommitment to biculturalism and health equityAwareness of ACC, PHO, and nursing professional development issuesExcellent written and communication skillsFamiliarity with MedTech or similar systems is an advantageNZ citizenship or permanent residencyIf you're ready to lead, inspire, and make a real impact in primary healthcare, apply now to join the Tamaki Health team!
