The company is proudly family-owned and has operated for over 42 years, growing with a strong brand reputation of quality and innovation in the market.About the role:Management of key South Island Electrical Wholesale customers, electrical contractors, and lighting project Specifiers, supported by a nationwide sales team, sales support, and warehouses in both Christchurch and Auckland. Regular travel throughout the territory is required with an estimated 6-8 nights away from home per month if Christchurch based.Start Date: Flexible - January/February 2025Key Responsibilities:Management of key accounts and relationships within the South Island region.Regular travel to meet with clients and stakeholders.Collaboration with the sales team and support staff to achieve sales targets.Identify and pursue new business opportunities.Qualifications and Experience:Must have 3+ years experience as a Sales Representative, Account Manager, or in a BDM type role.Lighting knowledge or experience in the Electrical Wholesale industry is a bonus but not essential.Desired Skills:Technically savvy.Ability to hunt for opportunities.Self-motivated and autonomous with excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.A positive "can do" attitude, with a willingness and resourcefulness to act on your own initiative as well as being an effective team member.Looks for improvements in day-to-day operations and asks the question 'how can we do this better'.Ability to develop and maintain good professional working relationships with people at all levels across the company.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as an account manager?Do you have experience in a role which requires relationship management experience?How would you rate your English language skills?How many years' experience do you have in a client services/account management role?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?
