About the opportunity: A great job opportunity has opened up with one of our valued clients, Scheepers Refrigeration! Based in Whangarei or Kerikeri, they have a vacancy for a qualified Refrigeration Engineer or Electrician to join their service team. Traveling around Northland may be required, so you need to be energetic, hardworking, and welcome any challenges that come with the role. Role description: As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for residential, commercial, and industrial servicing and general repairs, as well as being involved in residential housing and heat pump installation. Responsibilities will include: Diagnose malfunctions and defects in equipment Read blueprints and electrical and electronic schematics Operate tools, gauges, and other testing equipment for refrigeration systems Apply troubleshooting methods, replace parts, and run tests to ensure the systems are working properly following repairs Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background/experience/qualities: 5+ years experience as a Refrigeration Engineer Experience in residential housing and heat pump installation Full clean New Zealand driver's license with a good driving record or overseas equivalent Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to work independently A high level of customer service skills About the company: Scheepers Refrigeration is a thriving local provider of all refrigeration products with decades of industry experience to back it up. They are based in Kaitaia, Kerikeri, and Whangarei and service from Cape Reinga to Warkworth. They supply, install, service, and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning requirements to the highest level.
