About us Modern Facility Services Ltd is a Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) trade specialist company based in Porirua and warehouse/workshop in Grenada North. Qualifications & experience Qualification from a recognized institute majoring in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.At least 5 years hands-on experience in this trade.Have worked (Installation and Maintenance) on Commercial Systems e.g. Chilled water systems, VRV/VRF systems, high capacity refrigeration Systems. Tasks & responsibilities Coordinates with office for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently. • Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs. Fabricates equipment parts for the purpose of meeting specialty needs and/or replacing unavailable parts. • Installs Heating, Refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities. Inspects HVAC and Refrigeration systems and their components (e.g. Lights, Fittings, heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.Performs routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of Refrigeration and HVAC systems. • Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information. Repairs Refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.} for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment. • Identify potential upgrade prospects within the existing client base. Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. • Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site. Maintain service records sufficient to ensure that IQP certificates can be provided for clients where required. • Prepare client reports as required to meet contractual commitments and to maximize orders for additional work.Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions.Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Company. Be able to travel with New Zealand and Overseas as may be required form time to time.
