Recycling Centre Operator

Due to a staff member leaving, a fulltime Recycling Centre Operator position is available. This role involves working across all three EcoDrop locations. There is no fixed base, allowing for a variety of work environments throughout the week.
This position will report directly to the Resource Recovery Centre Supervisor.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Accepting items from the public with a smile and enthusiasm.
Loading collected items into containers for our EcoShop, promoting reuse and reducing waste.
Safely handling and storing hazardous waste drop-offs with full training provided.
Driving a forklift to change bins of recyclable products with full training provided.
You will be:
Self-motivated
Interacting well with customers
Enjoying providing excellent customer service
Physically fit
Possessing a full driver's licence; training will be provided to obtain an F endorsement for a forklift
Complying with the organisation's visions and values and having a good attitude towards continuous improvement.

EcoCentral is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace. The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, drugs screen, and background check.
Hours of work are normally 7:00am to 4:30pm on a 6 days on and 3 days off roster.
