Lancashire Adult Learning is an Adult Education College providing opportunities for individuals to learn, develop, work and prosper, at all stages of life. The College is focused on making Lancashire a place where everyone matters; a place where everyone can enjoy equal and quality life chances and be respected in their communities.
The Exciting Role
RIPP stands for 'Regional Improvement Plan Pilot'. The project has been introduced as a result of the chronic shortage of foster carers across the North-West. The DFE funded project is focussed on attracting individuals to residential Childcare Services (children's homes), to allow children in care to reside in close proximity to the areas they live in.
In partnership with Lancashire County Council (LCC), we will be working to recruit individuals who will receive pre-employment training and placement prior to interview. This role will include promoting opportunities to attract individuals to the sector and liaising closely with LCC, in order to help them recruit up to 150 people to existing vacancies, and to help with staffing up to 17 new residential childcare settings which are planned to open within the next 12 months.
What You Will Be Doing:
Working with employers, external agencies and community representatives to support recruitment for the residential childcare provision across Lancashire and South Cumbria
Develop and manage partner and employer relationships
Promoting the sector and working with a range of stakeholders to maximise recruitment and attract individuals to residential childcare
Analysing data and supporting the preparation of reports for submission
What We Are Looking For:
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent, at Grade C/4 or above
Experience of working in partnership with external agencies
Experience of data analysis and reporting
What We Offer in Return:
Generous annual leave entitlement increasing to a maximum of 28 days (with service), plus Bank Holidays and closure days – totalling 41 days per year
Access to a workplace pension scheme – with employer contributions of 5%
Enhanced occupational sick pay scheme and access to family friendly policies and benefits
A range of health and wellbeing benefits and support
Staff recognition scheme, including long service awards
Free on-site parking on all College sites
