Recreation Lead | Glenfield Pool and Leisure Centre Help us get "More Aucklanders more active, more often" Enjoy free use of Centre facilities plus a range of other benefits Great development pathway and multiple opportunities within Auckland Council ActivZone Glenfield is looking for two Recreation Leads . Our Recreation Leads support the Recreation Team Leader to help deliver an exciting range of activities at Glenfield Pool and Leisure Centre and ActivZone.
Key responsbilities:
Managing the ordering and rotation of stock in the facility Assisting with bookings Duty managing across the site during weekend or public holidays Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained on shift Floor cover during busy sessions and bookings Supporting the Recreation team, including assisting with shift covers as needed Support the formulation and delivery of staff trainings This is a great opportunity for you to further develop your skills in customer interaction, leadership, and facilitation.
We are looking to fill 2 permanent part-time roles, working 24 hours or 16 hours. Shifts below:
24 hours - Thursday 8.30AM-5PM, Fridays 8.30AM-5PM, Saturday 8.30AM-5PM 16 hours - Sunday 8.30AM-5PM and Monday 8.30AM-5PM With your passion for your community, the health or fitness environment, you have a proven track record in developing & maintaining relationships with a diverse range of internal and external customers.
You will need a First Aid Certificate; however, we will help you attain this if you do not have one already.
Ideally, you will also have experience working at a roller-skating rink or within a recreation facility, as well as experience in hospitality or food preparation.
You'll be joining an enthusiastic and high-performing team who are dedicated to helping get "More Aucklanders, more active, more often!". If you are someone who loves being a Recreational Assistant, but also interested in the opportunity to upskill and progress your career, the Recreation Lead role is perfect for you.
ActivZone Glenfield is a multi-sport indoor sports arena. We hold daily public roller-skating sessions, sports league bookings, birthday parties and private bookings. Some of our sports include inline hockey, artistic roller skating, roller hockey, roller derby and table tennis.
