About this role
As a Recovery Partner at ACC, you will be responsible for partnering with clients (kiritaki) and their whanau who require a one-to-one relationship due to their intensive or extensive needs for as long as they need it. You will work with clients of all ages who have extensive physical injuries that will likely impact their day-to-day activity for their lifetime. Some clients may have individual needs that require coordinated support from other agencies, and you will facilitate this planning.
Should the client choose, you will manage all claims each client may have with ACC, which means that from time to time you may work with clients who have a mental injury due to sexual violence. With a Disability lens, you will work to ensure that each client is supported to live as independently as possible by assessing holistic support needs during their rehabilitation and adjusting to a lifetime disability. The right mix of communication, planning, and adaptability supports the best outcomes for your clients while building confidence and trust.
We are also seeking additional candidates who have a deep understanding of Te Ao Maori and are passionate about improving our service for Maori clients. With ACC's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi by providing space for matauranga Maori based approaches to support our clients, we have introduced the Hapai service. Hapai is a case management service grounded in tikanga Maori principles aimed at improving access to services and engagement for whanau Maori. This is a specialization within our coordinator teams. Please indicate on your application if you would like to be considered for a Hapai Client Recovery role.

Professional Supervision
On-the-job skill development and coaching
Flexible working options (after working with us for 6 months)
Work from home up to 3 days per week (we'll provide you with the tech!)

The indicative starting salary for this role will be $77,502, exclusive of ACC's 9% superannuation contribution, bringing the total starting package to $84,477.
