T he Recovery Partner- Mental Injury role plays an important role in the delivery of specialised service to some of ACC's most vulnerable and sensitive clients.
As a Recovery Partner - Mental Injury, acting as a facilitator you will work in collaboration with a range of internal and external medical practitioners, you will be delivering a client led approach to those that have mental injury due to sexual violence and complex mental and physical injuries .
The role is office based and communication with external stakeholders and clients is phone based with a small number of face-to-face interactions.
ACC is committed to Te'Tiriti'o Waitangi by providing space for'matauranga Maori based approaches to support our clients.

Case management isn't clear-cut. You'll need to interpret legislation and clinical data into practical steps. Personal resilience is essential, as the information you'll handle can be tough. Balancing professionalism, empathy, and a focus on outcomes is key to supporting your clients effectively and aligning with their goals.
Enjoying a complex workload. being solutions-focused, and a positive team player is important.
You have demonstrable experience in building relationships with a diverse range of clients
You must thrive in a busy setting, be resilient, organised, exercise professional judgement, and be computer literate.
You should understand mental injury and client engagement strategies, possess effective communication skills, and build trust with vulnerable clients.
You need to understand delivering excellent customer experiences and building empathy and trust.
A mindset for continuous improvement is necessary as is the ability to evaluate information objectively and provide a rational conclusion.
A relevant tertiary qualification is preferable but not essential.
