We are looking for a person who has gone through the journey of recovering from addiction and is passionate about seeing others recover through the love and strength of Jesus Christ.About the Role:The Recovery Church/Fellowship Leader is responsible for the leadership of The Salvation Army's Hawkes Bay Recovery Church/Fellowship and associated activities including pastoral/spiritual care, discipleship, leadership development, and connecting with local Corps.Key objectives include:Upholding and supporting The Salvation Army's mission and Christian ethosWorking in accordance with The Salvation Army's organisation structures, policy and proceduresThe leadership of Recovery Church/Fellowship and associated activities, i.e. fellowship groupsPreparation, planning, programming for Recovery Church/FellowshipPastoral/spiritual care and discipleshipConnecting with local corps, church and/or addiction centreFinances relating to the Recovery Church/FellowshipHealth and safetyPerson Specification:Is fully supportive of the Mission of The Salvation ArmyTraining in addiction issuesIs a self-motivatorDisplays good initiativeAbility to maintain good working relationshipsAbility to learn and take instructionReliableTrustworthyRespect for the privacy of ClientsSkilled in written and verbal communicationHolds a current driver's licenseOur offer to you:2 x Salvation Army additional leave days and long service leaveTSA discount card for discount with various retailers such as Big Save, Noel Leeming, Placemakers, and Coffee ClubFree car parkingHours of Work: This is a Permanent Part-Time position, 20 hours per week.
