About the Role:
Burwood Hospital is seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing a friendly, efficient, and professional reception and administrative service to patients, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will uphold Health NZ's commitment to excellent customer service and administrative accuracy.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claims settlement, this role has been mapped to National Band 2/Profile 2.
Responsibilities: Deliver a prompt, courteous, and professional reception service.Handle patient and general inquiries with efficiency and diplomacy.Manage telephone inquiries with a customer-focused approach.Maintain and update patient information accurately using the Patient Management System (SI Piccs).Perform cashiering duties, including cash receipting, petty cash reconciliation, and banking, adhering to Health NZ's policies.Complete administrative tasks such as data entry for admissions/discharges, room bookings, and event support.Support emergency procedures and assist with specimen or sample transportation arrangements.Ensure the reception area is always tidy and reflective of Health NZ's professional image.About you Skills and Experience:
Essential: Previous experience in reception and customer service roles.Proven cash handling and data entry skills.Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and email.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A high level of customer service with a positive and professional demeanor.Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm under pressure.Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
