Permanent part-time position available for a Reception & Administration role at Te Nikau Hospital and Health Centre.
Working 32 hours per week (8 hours a day) across a 7 day a week roster, covering a 24 / 7 roster including weekends and public holidays.

Te Nikau Hospital and Health Centre is a vital healthcare facility serving our community.
We are currently looking for a dedicated Administration Support professional to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the efficient and appropriate access to healthcare services. This role is also essential in maintaining a respectful and culturally sensitive environment for both patients and colleagues.
What you will do with your time:
Demonstrate commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles when working with tangata whaiora and whanau.
Consistently show awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences when working with patients and their whanau / families.
Maintain a high standard of customer service with a welcoming friendly manner.
Perform all administrative tasks.
Maintain accurate, complete, and readily accessible paper-based and electronic medical records.
Ensure patient and medical documentation is recorded, updated and stored accurately and correctly.
Answer incoming calls into the service and direct them to the correct departments as needed.
Skills and experience:
Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
Minimum of one to two years of office experience or a similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and systems.
Initiative and accountability in work.
Collaborative team player.
Ability to work with a diverse community.
Outstanding organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
