The Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated Manager for our Regional Business Partner (RBP) team. This is a full-time, fixed-term role where you'll steer a small team of six to help SMEs across Hawke's Bay reach their full potential, offering a unique chance to make a tangible impact on local business growth and development. About the Role:As the RBP Manager, you'll lead a team dedicated to empowering small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) by delivering guidance, services, and funding to drive growth, innovation and expansion. You'll work closely with businesses to understand their unique needs, connecting them with resources, funding, and expert advice to help them grow. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in aligning our team's efforts with the Chamber's broader mission and goals.Key Responsibilities:Provide professional leadership and support to the RBP team, ensuring high performance, motivation, and a client-focused approach.Oversee team productivity and efficiency to ensure deadlines and targets are met.Work with businesses to assess needs, supporting innovative research and development initiatives.Manage eligibility assessments, distribute funding, and monitor outcomes to support business capability development.Cultivate partnerships with service providers, MBIE, Callaghan Innovation, and promote Business Mentors NZ services.Prepare and deliver accurate, timely reports for internal stakeholders and relevant authorities.What You'll Bring:Proven leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing people, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.Strong business acumen: A solid understanding of the business landscape, strategic insight, and the ability to make balanced, informed decisions.Client-focused mindset: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with a team, clients and stakeholders.Organisational savvy: Skilled in managing multiple priorities, with a knack for systems, software, and budget management.Integrity and trust: High personal integrity, with a commitment to the Chamber's mission and values.Why Join Us?This is more than just a role; it's an opportunity to play a vital part in the growth of the Hawke's Bay business community.
