Our friendly Financial Services team are seeking a Rates Administration Officer.
Key responsibilities for this role include: Ensure that applications for the Department of Internal Affairs Rates Rebate scheme are processed in a timely manner Collect rates, sundry debt and water charges on due dates Ensure accurate and timely direct debit administration including setting up and maintaining direct debits and following up on dishonours Assist in ensuring that all information pertaining to the rating information database remains up to date and accurate in accordance with legislation and Council policy What you will bring: NCEA or equivalent to level 3 with passes in Mathematics and English 2 - 3 years' experience as a Finance Officer or similar accounting support role Good working knowledge of IT software systems, including competency in MS Word and MS Excel Self-motivated with good time management skills Excellent attention to detail What we offer: Flexible working environment Career progression and training/development opportunities Positive focus of employee health and well-being: Workstation assessments, free flu vaccines, EAP services, 50% off eye exams, discounted gym memberships etc Kiwisaver and Superannuation Schemes Access to sick leave from day one of employment Appointment time leave: Up to 2 hours for important appointments eg.
