He angitutanga | About the role Te Papa Atawhai Department of Conservation's Morere Hot Springs team is looking for the next valuable member!
As Morere Hot Springs Ranger you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe and pleasant environment for our guests.
You will be responsible for conducting the cleaning of the pools each night and then one full day deep clean of pools while the facility is closed.
You will operate flexibly, with a combination of fixed hours and flexible hours as required, so availability and timely response is needed.
You must also be available to work Public Holidays.
The role responsibilities include: General cleaning: sweeping/vacuuming and mopping floors, restrooms, changing rooms, and shower facilities.
Pool cleaning: undertaking an acid wash of the emptied pools on a daily basis.
Pool area maintenance: cleaning pool decks and surrounding areas, monitoring and maintaining pool chemicals and hygiene.
Facility upkeep: dusting and wiping surfaces, windows, and glass doors, maintaining common areas.
Stocking supplies: ensuring restroom supplies are stocked regularly, cleaning supply restocking.
Assisting guests as required.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting maintenance issues to leadership.
If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you: You will be capable of working independently and without supervision but also able to fit in well and work alongside a team.
You will be able to follow instructions, with a high level of attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.
You will have experience working in a pool facility and maintaining grounds, infrastructure, and light machinery to a professional level.
The role will comprise physically taxing work, such as heavy lifting, so a good level of health and fitness is essential.
Relevant Pool Operator and First Aid qualifications.

The salary range for this position is $58,816.00- $66,578.00 pro-rata with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
