A leading New Zealand-based multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking experienced Rail Engineers to join their dynamic teams in Wellington and Auckland. These roles offer the chance to work on significant rail infrastructure projects across the country.

Wellington Position: Rail Project Engineer
The ideal candidate will have:
6+ years of experience in rail engineering
A Washington Accord degree in Civil Engineering
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (advantageous)
Strong project team leadership skills
Experience in stakeholder management

Key responsibilities include:
Leading complex rail design packages
Providing technical direction and advice to clients and designers
Managing resources and budgets
Verifying design work
Contributing to tender submissions
Potential to act as Engineer's representative

Auckland Position: Rail Engineer
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years' experience in track engineering
A Washington Accord recognized degree in Civil Engineering or Rail Engineering
CPEng or equivalent (highly advantageous)
Strong communication and influencing skills
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
High level of computer literacy
Understanding of responsibilities under HSE Act 2015

Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting rail project delivery, predominantly in track engineering
Managing project performance, pipeline, profit, and margin of the portfolio
Technical development, design, engineering, and quality assurance
Field work, planning activities, and progress reporting
Supervising large-scale civil works
Interpreting investigations and proposing recommendations
Implementing and adhering to safety plans and HSE legislation
