Te Whatu Ora is seeking a radiology department assistant to join their team at Whangarei hospital in New Zealand. The radiology department assistant role is to support the medical imaging technology, sonographers and administrative team with the care of patients. The ideal candidate has the ability to work closely with patients from areas such as the emergency department, ICU and in-patient areas. It have ability to provide high quality patient care within the hospital. The candidate has the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team environment. This fixed term position offers a salary range is $ 92,459 per year. Candidate has the ability to work 4- 5 hours per day within the radiology department.
Qualifications for Radiology Department Assistant: Candidate must have experience in previous administration. It must have excellent communication skills. It must have a secondary school qualification up to years 12. Transfer patients to and from radiology department for their imaging and diagnostic requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to provide quality-care to patients. Responsibilities for Radiology department assistant: Candidate is responsible for assisting medical imaging technologists and sonographers with patients care. Ability to preparing examinations rooms and equipment for procedures and ensuring they are clean and ready for use. Providing support to patients by explaining procedures and answering questions.
