Radiographic Assistant | Christchurch Start Date – As soon as possible.
Shifts : The shifts consist of morning and afternoons, on a 2-week roster.
Hours : Between 7.30 am to 5 pm and 4.30 pm to 11 pm Monday to Sunday including public holidays (minimum 12 hours a week to maximum of 24 hours per week).
Location – Christchurch Hospital, Burwood Hospital and Christchurch Women's Hospital.
Salary – Starting from $31.62 per hour. Based on the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement.

The Radiology Department at Waipapa Hospital is on the lookout for efficient and flexible Radiographic Assistants to join our kapa (team). This is a varied role for someone with a passion for patient care and who is looking to develop their career in healthcare.
Although you'll primarily be working at Waipapa campus, this is a varied position which could see you working at our Burwood or Christchurch Women's campuses too. Our service runs between the hours of 7 am - 11 pm Monday – Sunday, therefore you'll be flexible in your availability and adaptable to work within varying teams and departments across our sites.
This role is ever-evolving and will be sure to keep you thinking.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Interacting with patients in person and handling inquiries over the phone;
Assisting with patients;
Supporting the MRTs or Sonographers and Registrars;
Excellent communication skills as well as great attention to detail and organisational skills;
A natural team player, with the ability to see the bigger picture;
The ability to work cooperatively in a large and busy environment;
Knowledge of the Health Sector;
Experience in customer service is essential;
Confidence using computer systems is desirable.
No radiology experience or qualification is required for the position; however, a passion for the field of Radiology and commitment to patient care is essential.
