The Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Lead specialising in radio communications to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in utilising advanced technical knowledge to refine existing systems, troubleshoot complexities, and collaborate closely with architects to improve current systems, address intricate issues, and work closely with architects to pinpoint inventive solutions that elevate data gathering, voice communications, and transmission techniques. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality telecommunications services that meet both current and future business needs. Key Responsibilities: Configuration and evaluation of radio connectivity, ensuring compliance with bandwidth regulations and licensing requirements. Implementation of backup and resilience measures to guarantee continuous operation of radio connections. Monitoring and maintenance of radio connections to ensure uptime and reliability. Collaboration with vendors and internal staff, particularly science teams utilizing incoming data. Engagement with architects to align future plans with wider area network strategies. What you will need: Solid experience supporting radio and telecommunications networks. Experience managing server computers and computer networks in large organisations with complex ICT infrastructure. Practical experience with the Microsoft stack. Sound knowledge of network security technologies, including gateway, firewall, and malware protection systems. What's in it for you?
