Are you fuelled by a passion for the outdoors? Is there something indescribable that draws you to the mountains? Let's chat. Joining our crew is more than just working at a ski field - it's a lifestyle; seasonal work is a rollercoaster but it's one that creates lasting memories that you'll talk about for a lifetime.
Our NZSki community has been growing since 1947 and continues to offer the best experience for our crew, locals, and guests alike. Everyone at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt cares for the mountains and shares a passion for snowsports and the surrounding regions. Our success is due to our awesome customer service, first-class facilities, majestic scenery, and wild terrain.
Coronet Peak is the home of ski racing in New Zealand, where the race crew works hard to deliver a wide range of quality ski and snowboard events across the season. The Race Crew consists of 10-12 members, including a Head of Department, a Race Administrator, a Team Leader, and 7-9 Race Crew Staff. We kick off the winter with a Race Development program for children, where certified race crew coach for the better part of July over the school holidays. The event season begins at the end of July and carries steadily through to the end of September. You can expect to prepare and execute our fun local community events, ski and Snowboard Cross courses, and high-level international races. Your role as crew changes day to day and depends heavily on the upcoming schedule. Our role is greatly influenced by weather and snow conditions, which makes for early mornings and some late nights.
Our prime candidates would be those thrifty problem solvers keen to be a part of a tight-knit team and not afraid to put in the work. We are looking for flexible people who can change as quickly as the weather and adapt to ensure our events and programs are delivered to the best of our ability. If you have a passion for snow and sport, are always keen to get out on the slopes no matter what the weather, and are interested in the running and setup of on-snow events, we look forward to hearing from you.
