This position reports to: Chief Technical Officer Your Role And Responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to create products, systems, services, or technologies for ABB's business units.
Each day, you will facilitate the end-to-end execution of one or more Research and Development projects.
You will also showcase your expertise by achieving associated milestones, targets, and desired outcomes.
The work model for the role is: Onsite.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Henderson, Auckland.
You will be mainly accountable for: Coordination of product design activities to meet internal and external product standards.
Collaboration with global specialist teams.
Managing product development through a gate model process.
Managing progress to plan, with reporting to local and global teams.
Engaging with internal stakeholders to introduce projects to production.

Qualifications For The Role: You are immersed in the development of world-class products for the electrical distribution market.
Have established skills in Electrical product development, testing & approvals to global standard (IEC 60265 & 62271).
Have more than 5 years managing projects and multi-discipline teams.
Have managed a structured product development process (gate model).
Have experience in global Transfer of Technology.
Working with local stakeholders to deliver product designs into production.
Highly adept in 3D CAD, electrical simulation and familiar with ERP systems (SAP).
You are passionate about product development, and design for manufacture and assembly.
Degree in Electrical Engineering.
You are at ease communicating with local and global teams in English.
