Our Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager North Island, this multifaceted role involves overseeing the daily management of quarry operations, including extraction, crushing and screening plants, as well milling and bagging operations.
You will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and managing health and safety on the site.
The site achieves a significant output annually with a diverse workforce.
You will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with internal stakeholders and the broader community.
Your business acumen will drive operational improvements and growth.
Key focus areas the role will include:

Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards to achieve operational goals.
Manage daily operations to meet quality, budget, and forecasted targets.
Collaborate with sales teams to achieve revenue objectives.
Provide leadership and direction to staff and contractors.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental consents.
Contribute to strategic planning and oversee capital projects and maintenance.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:

Relevant experience in operations management, preferably in quarry or related industries for 5+ years.
Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of hard rock processing
Expertise in drill and blast operations
Proficiency in equipment maintenance and application
Strong skills in planning and reporting
Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
Familiarity with operational planning and geotechnical practices.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control.
Leadership experience in managing teams and resolving operational challenges.
Qualifications in Quarry management or related disciplines a must
